National Conferences

CCIIF organises national conferences devoted to Romanian philosophical debate and to contemporary thematic explorations. The centre’s flagship event is the National Conference on Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art “Ion Ianoși”, an annual series dedicated to the figure of Professor Ion Ianoși — professor of philosophy and aesthetics, monographer and translator, honorary member of the Romanian Academy. The series reached its seventh edition in 2019. Alongside it, over the years the centre has hosted national conferences such as “(Anti)Nature and (Post)Humanism”, “Philosophy and (Post)modernity: Subject. Individual. Person”, “Nature. Culture. Dwelling”, “Metaphysics and Ontology in Romanian Philosophy”, “Critique, Marginality, Cynicism”, “Philosophical Categories and Intercultural Concepts” or “Romanian Thinkers in World Culture”.

Many of the papers presented have been published in collective volumes or in academic publications, and their results can be found in the Publications section.
