National Conference
THE THOUGHT OF CONSTANTIN NOICA TODAY
This year marks 100 years since the birth of Constantin Noica, the most important Romanian philosopher. Over the last decade, books and studies about his work have become ever more numerous and more applied, and several major titles have been translated into four major world languages. All this proves that Noica was not mistaken when he said: „I expect something meaningful to be said about me only after 1990”. The Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Bucharest, in collaboration with the Romanian Society of Philosophy, is organising a national conference dedicated to the contemporaneity of Noica's thought, a conference meant to bring together all those who try to account for the pulse of his philosophy in the contemporary world.
The conference will take place both in plenary and in sections.
The plenary session of the conference is devoted to the theme “The Thought of C. Noica Today”.
The section themes are the following:
Language and Thought
The Noician Paideic Model – Philosophy in the Education System
Noica and Ontology

Noica and the Interwar Period
Noica and Theology
