The direction researches the ways in which culture and civilisation are constituted and interpreted: from the philosophy of kitsch and urban aesthetics to the new cultural realities produced by the mass media and by technology. It is one of the applied directions explicitly assumed in the centre’s statute (the philosophy of kitsch, urbanism).
